A credit union is a cooperative owned and operated by the people who use its services. Because credit unions are dedicated to the principle of people helping people, rather than making money, they have not-for-profit tax status. This is the same tax status given to churches, charities, schools and other groups that work to better the lives of people.

Credit Unions aren't organized for the purpose of making a profit. Instead, they reinvest surplus funds to improve the financial well-being of member-owners like you. This is why credit unions are known for

their reasonable rates on loans and fair returns on savings. Credit unions also have a special commitment to reach out to persons who might otherwise be unable to obtain affordable financial services.

With membership in Pinnacle Credit Union, you receive a voice in how your credit union is run. More importantly, you are given a share of the responsibility for supporting the Credit Union in its efforts toward financial success and soundness.

Important Information About Procedures For Opening A New Account:

To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.

What this means for you: When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver's license or other identifying documents.
