PRIVACY POLICY
It is the policy of Pinnacle Credit Union to protect the privacy of its membership.
This shall be done within the guidelines of the Privacy Act.
I. The Credit Union will collect non-public personal information about members from the following sources:
A. Applications and other forms
B. Transactions with PCU, our affiliates, or others
C. A credit reporting agency
D. From verification of data provided on an application
II. The Credit Union may disclose the following kinds of non-public personal financial information about members that have been obtained from the following sources:
- Applications and other forms (such as name, address, social security number, and income
- Transactions with PCU or other companies that work closely with PCU to provide financial products and services
- From a consumer reporting agency
III. The Credit Union may disclose non-public information about members to the following types of third parties:
- Financial companies such as mortgage bankers and insurance agencies
- Non-financial companies such as consumer reporting agencies and retailers
- Others, such as not-profit organizations
IV. The Credit Union may disclose non-public personal information about members to non-affiliated third parties as permitted by law.
V. The Credit Union may disclose all of the information collected, as described above, to companies that perform marketing on the Credit Unions behalf or to other financial institutions with which there is a joint marketing agreement.
VI. The Credit Union Restricts access to non-public personal information about members to those employees who need to know the information in order to provide products and services to its members. Physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards will be maintained in order to guard members’ non-public personal information.
VII. Once membership is terminated – no further disclosure, beyond that permitted by law will be made.
VIII. Members who prefer that Pinnacle Credit Union not disclose non-public personal information about them to non-affiliated third parties may choose to opt out.
